The Randall T. Moon Distinguished Lecture series honors ISCRM’s Founding Director, Dr. Randy Moon and his many contributions to science. Through this annual event, ISCRM invites pioneers and other leaders in stem cell biology to speak here at the campus of UW Medicine at South Lake Union.

2018 Lecture

In April 2018, the inaugural lecture was given by Dr. Len Zon, Grousbeck Professor of Pediatric Medicine at Harvard Medical School, Investigator at Howard Hughes Medical Institute, and Director of the Stem Cell Program, Children’s Hospital Boston. Dr. Zon spoke about his lab’s groundbreaking work on the developmental biology of hematopoiesis and cancer.

2019 Lecture

Dr. Philip Beachy, Ernest and Amelia Gallo Professor of Urology, Developmental Biology, and (by courtesy) Chemical and Systems Biology at Stanford University School of Medicine will give a talk entitled, “Hedgehog signaling and the stem cell niche.” The event will be held on Thursday, May 2, from 3:30-4:30pm in Orin Smith Auditorium.
