A dozen scientists and engineers from the University of Washington, including ISCRM’s Cecilia Giachelli, have been elected to the Washington State Academy of Sciences. The new members were selected for “their outstanding record of scientific achievement and willingness to work on behalf of the academy in bringing the best available science to bear on issues within the state of Washington.”
The Washington State Academy of Sciences provides expert scientific and engineering analysis for policy makers, and works to increase the role and visibility of science in Washington state. Members are a premier source of objective scientific and technological information on important issues, questions and problems to achieved informed public policy decisions.
