I have type 2 diabetes and am under the great care of Dr. Irl Hirsch at the UW Medicine Diabetes Institute. The care provided by Dr. Hirsch and his team has helped me tremendously. It is important to extend this kind of high-quality care to the larger community, as well as to the global population. Work being done at the Institute for Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine (ISCRM) holds tremendous promise in understanding, treating, and curing diseases like type 2 diabetes. The critical research and patient care being done at these two UW Medicine institutes is extremely important, and I am inspired to help them make a global impact.”
