The Institute for Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine (ISCRM) offers research opportunities for students from UW Seattle, UW Bothell, and outside the UW. See below for more information about programs for undergraduate students, graduate students, and postdoctoral students.
Undergraduate research opportunities often become available often in ISCRM labs. Students who are interested should complete this inquiry form. We will make your information available to ISCRM faculty members who are seeking trainees for their labs.
Please note, decisions about taking on student researchers are made by individual labs (not by ISCRM).
While ISCRM does not have a centralized process for placing student researchers in labs, we are able to make your information available to faculty members who are seeking student researchers. We also recommend exploring which ISCRM research labs fit your interests and reaching out to those labs directly.
Please note: This form is intended for current UW undergraduate students. Non-UW students may pursue opportunities to research in ISCRM labs by reaching out faculty members directly or by applying to the ISCRM Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) summer program.

While there is not a formal Ph.D. program in stem cell biology and/or regenerative medicine at the Institute for Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine, students who are interested in pursuing an advanced degree in the field are encouraged to apply to one of the advanced scientific training degree programs in biomedical research at the UW School of Medicine.
Students and current postdoctoral fellows interested in pursuing postdoctoral research at the Institute for Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine should identify potential mentors through the Faculty and Areas of Research links and contact the faculty members directly. Occasionally, ISCRM may be notified of a postdoctoral position opening and will list the posting here. Please note — the listing does not represent all potential openings at the Institute.
