ISCRM faculty memebr Dr. Vincenzo Cirulli, MD, PhD, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Diabetes Research Connection (https://diabetesresearchconnection.org/), a non-profit organization devoted to support early-career scientists to perform innovative research designed to prevent and cure Type 1 diabetes. Over the past three years, the Diabetes Research Connection has funded more than 30 young scientists with awards ranging from $50K to $75K that eventually led to securing larger extramural grants from the NIH, JDRF, and ADA.
