We develop bioinspired materials for biomedical applications. We are integrating techniques from engineering, chemistry, and cell biology to achieve this goal. Our current application areas include: biologics delivery to the brain and spinal cord, synthetic materials for trauma treatment, kidney-targeted drug delivery, and cancer immunotherapies. We have developed materials useful to the stem cell and regenerative medicine communities such as peptide-loaded injectable hydrogels, conductive hydrogels, and synthetic vehicles for intracellular biologics delivery.
